A: Booknerd is mainly aimed at students who would like to save money when buying their textbooks or who would like to earn some extra money selling their textbooks.
Q3: How do I buy books on Booknerd?
A: Buying books from Booknerd is as simple as it gets. Simply browse our website selecting the categories listed under “Buy Books” on the top left hand corner. Select the subject for which you are seeking to buy a book, select a desired book and add it to your cart. Then simply follow the steps listed on the screen and your new book will be on its way to you in no time.
Q4: How do I sell books on Booknerd?
A: One of Booknerd’s main features is that we sell the books for you! You no longer have to go through the hassle of selling them yourself over eBay, packing them, sending them, etc…
If you have books to sell, simply select the “Sell Books” option at the top left hand corner of the page and follow the instructions.
Q5: How long will it take to sell my book?
A: The time it takes will depend on many factors. Although we cannot give you a rough number, the demand for most textbooks is very high. However, the newer and better priced a book is, the faster it will sell. Booknerd is expanding its service rapidly and we are trying to reach more and more people every day. This in turn will benefit you since there will be more people using this site and checking out your books!
Q6: How do I know you are not going to misuse my credit / debit card information?
A: All our credit and debit card payments are made using HSBC’s Secure ePayments service. At no point in the payment process do we see or store your card details, since they are transmitted directly to HSBC.
Q7: Is it secure to pay with a credit / debit card on your site?
A: Yes. Not only do we work with HSBC as our payment processor, but all confidential information that you enter it transmitted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology with a 128 Bit encryption. Our SSL certificate is provided by COMODO, one of the leading providers of SSL certificates in the world.
Q8: What if something is wrong with my book or I would like to change it?
A: In accordance with e-commerce laws, we offer you our extensive returns policy which can be viewed in the terms and conditions.
Q9: How do I pay?
A: At Booknerd you can pay in 2 ways; by a major credit/debit card or by using Booknerd Credit.
Q10: How do I get my books?
A: All books which you buy from us are ready for delivery. When placing your order you can choose between several delivery methods. These delivery methods fall into two categories: 1. Posting the order to you 2. You pick up the book yourself From the Students Union Security desk at

click here. If you want the order to be posted, once you place your order and we receive payment for it, we will send it using the postage means you specified. If you would like to pick up your order, you can either pay for it upfront or you can pay by cash on pick up.
Q11: What postal services do you offer?
Booknerd uses RoyalMail to send it items, postage is calculated by weight and depends on the method you have selected. We offer 1st Class Post (1-2 working days once dispatched) Second Class Post (2-3 working days once dispatched) and Standard Parcel (2-6 working days).
PLEASE NOTE: Not all delivery options will be available on all orders as royal mail will not accept certain weights for all of its delivery options. The charges will be displayed during the final checkout stages.
