Selling FAQ's
Here you can find answers to some Frequently Asked Questions regarding the selling of books. Please note that there is another FAQ page in the Help section for book buyers. If the question you are looking for is not here, please feel free to contact us.

Q. How much money will I get for my book?

A. We work using a “Price Bracket” system. On each Book Submission Label, you select a price range within which you would like your book to be sold. This is the “Price Bracket”. Once we receive your book, we will assess its condition, relevance and age to determine its final selling price. The better condition the book is in, the more relevant it is and the newer the edition, the more money you will get for it.

However overpricing your book is wasting both your time and our time. We reserve the right to refuse to sell overpriced books.

Q. How long does it all take for me to get my cash?

A. The time taken to sell depends on many things such as the demand for the book, the time of the year (whether its holidays or school time). We cannot promise you a specific time period however through our extensive advertising we are expanding our name day by day, hereby winning more and more customers over.

Q. How will I get my cash?

A. You can either be paid directly into your bank account or we can send you a cheque!

Q. Is the Bank transfer method safe?

A. Yes it is. We cannot do anything apart from transfer money to you with only the bank account number and sort code.

Q. What happens if my Book doesn’t sell?

A. In this unlikely event, it will depend upon what you selected when you submitted your book to us. On the submission label you can choose between four options should there be no sale within nine months after submission. With the first option you can collect your book form the Student Union after nine months. With the second option we continue to sell it until it is sold. With the third and fourth option we donate the proceeds of the sale to charity should the sale occur nine or more months after the book submission.

Q. Hey wait, that sounds too good to be true! Where’s the catch?

A. There is no catch; however there is a handling charge of 17.5% of the final selling price of the book, when sold within the first nine months after submission, to cover our own costs in selling it.
